Rodney Decker has posted the Table of Contents for his forthcoming Learning Koine Greek. A couple quick thoughts:

I like the title of chapter 15: “Passive Voice and Middle-Only Verbs”

I also like the way he has included in the titles of chapters 14, 16, 17, and 20 words indicating tense and aspect. For example, chapter 14 is titled “Present (Imperfective) Indicative Verbs.”

It is interesting that he describes the aspect of the imperfect as “remote imperfective.” The only place I have heard that terminology is in Con Campbell’s little book on aspect.

Update: Campbell’s bigger books on verbal aspect can be found here and here.

  1. Read Campbell’s *big* book(s) on aspect–SBG series. They are better than his “Basics.”

  2. Thanks for the reminder. I had honestly forgotten about those. I read most of the one on indicative verbs in narrative a few years ago, but not the other.
